These days road transportation has transformed into an astonishing wellspring of transportation as a result of the addition in auto vehicles. Inferable from this practical augmentation of vehicles on boulevards, the possibility of accidents is rising rapidly as number of fatal accidents due to drivers’ conditions has increased among truck drivers all over the world leading to deaths of innocent people and lose of constructions. The aim of this project is to design and develop a condition monitoring system for drivers. A real-time image processing system approach to drivers monitoring conditions based on Viola-James Algorithm and Circular Hough Transform (CHT) technique. It applies Haar Cascade features to extract the features of Region Of Interest (ROI) of drivers face while driving for the purpose of sleepy drivers the CHT technique used for Iris tracking which uses data from camera which is mounted on the windshield to provide real-time conditions of the driver to aid the warning system. Further for the purpose of intoxication drivers, Alcohol sensor (MQ-3) is used to detect driver’s intoxication level while DC Motor used for simulating vehicle engine and engine locking and GSM&GPS Module to provide GPS information and send SMS regarding driver’s alcohol consumption status to Drivers Emergency Department.

The impact when a motorcyclist involves in a high-speed accident without wearing a helmet is very dangerous and can cause fatality. Wearing a helmet can reduce shock from the impact and may save a life. There are many countries enforcing a regulation that requires the motorcycle's rider to wear a helmet when riding on their motorcycle, Malaysia is an example. A smart helmet is a special idea which makes motorcycle driving safer than before. This is implemented using GSM and GPS technology. The working of this smart helmet is very simple, vibration sensors are placed in different places of helmet where the probability of hitting is more which are connected to microcontroller board. So when the rider crashes and the helmet hit the ground, these sensors sense and gives to the microcontroller board, then controller extract GPS data using the GPS module that is interfaced to it. When the data exceeds minimum stress limit then GSM module automatically sends message to ambulance or family members. It also has an alcohol detector sensor which detects whether the person is drunk and switches off the engine if the sensor output is high.

Today every country is facing serious problems with drunken drivers. Drunk driving is the reason behind most of the car accidents. So we are introducing system that will detect drunken driver by alcohol sensor through driver breath fitted on steering in front of driver. This system is aimed at making vehicle driving safer than before. We have derived the driver's condition in real time environment and we propose the detection of alcohol using alcohol detector such that when the level of alcohol crosses a permissible limit, the vehicle ignition system will turn off and the GPS module will capture the present location of the vehicle. Also the GSM module will automatically send distress message to police or family members. It has a smart electronic system which continuously monitors the alcohol content in the air surrounding by the body of the protagonist. Speed of the vehicle varies on the content of alcohol detected. Vehicle based countermeasure system progressively monitors the speed locking system of the vehicle running from high (100kmph), medium (60-80kmph) and low (40kmph) which helps the driver to reach destination safely. In extreme situations the system disables the vehicle by switching off the ignition. The Global Positioning System (GPS) captures the location and sends information to the authorities with the help of a Global System for Mobile (GSM) device with the onetime password. Only after the password is entered the vehicle can be restarted. In the back end, all the riding circumstances, amount of alcohol detected, vehicle speed and the location is uploaded into web server automatically and accurately as soon as the sign of alcohol detected for investigation purpose. All the functions in the project are carried out with the help of ARM 7 based LPC 2148 microcontroller. This paper talks about vehicle accident prevention by using methods of alcohol sensor banded together as a team in an effort to reduce traffic accidents.

According to statistics " road to safety " [1], in a highly populated country like India, the usage of vehicles is rapidly increasing and at the same time people lose their lives because of accidents and poor emergency facilities. Hence, the value of human life is ignored. These lives could have been saved if medical facilities were provided at the right time and if drunk drivers were prohibited from driving. As fuel and vehicle have become even more dearer there is an increasing number of fuel thefts taking place. This project proposes a system which can be installed in any car at a minimal cost, acting as a solution to the mentioned drawbacks. An accelerometer sensor is used to sense the vibrations and tilt generated by the vehicle when it meets with an accident. Using this digital output via the controller an SMS is sent to preprogrammed numbers such as ambulance, police station, family member of the victim etc. indicating that an accident has occurred with a link in the SMS depicting the accident spot via Google map service provider. Alcohol sensor is used to detect alcohol in the breath of the driver, if sensed the vehicle ignition will not turn on. Antitheft system is also included for fuel wherein if theft of either is detected then there will be an SMS sent to the owner indicating a theft occurrence, along with an immediate siren so as to alert the surroundings.

Now-day's accident due to alcoholic drink consumed by car drivers has increasing and drivers are often not found by police. So in this project we designed a systemusing microcontroller and using a MQ3 alcoholsensor that will stop the engine of the vehicle if itdetects the alcohol consume by the driver.So we are introducing system that will detect drunken driver by alcohol sensor through driver breath fitted on steering in front of driver.As well proposed system also focuses on providing system to monitor cars and when alcohol detects at starting of ignition of car then car's ignition will immediately turn-offand if alcohol detected after starting and while driving then application will reduced the fuel supply.
